Lili Elbe
Lili Ilse Elvenes (born Einar Magnus Andreas Wegener; 28 December 1882 – 13 September 1931), better known as Lili Elbe, was a Danish painter and transgender woman. She was among the early recipients of sex reassignment surgery.[1]

Elbe died of cardiac arrest caused by a uterus transplant surgery at the age of 48.[2]
On 28 December 2022, Google Doodle celebrated Lili Elbe's 140th birthday.[3]
