Lawrence J. DeNardis
Lawrence Joseph "Larry" DeNardis (March 18, 1938 – August 24, 2018) was an American politician. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives for the state of Connecticut's 3rd congressional district from 1981 to 1983. He was also president of the University of New Haven.

He announced on January 12, 2010, that he was forming an exploratory committee to run for Governor of Connecticut in 2010 as a Republican.[1]
DeNardis died from a short-illness in New Haven on August 24, 2018 at the age of 80.[2]
