Labial–velar consonant
A labial-velar consonant is a sound produced by saying a bilabial sound and a velar sound a the same time. For example, [w] as in watch is a labial-velar consonant.
Labial-velar sounds are different from labialised velar sounds. For example, [kp] is labial-velar but [kʷ] is labialised velar.
