Kay Mellor

Kay Mellor OBE (née Daniel; 11 May 1951 – 15 May 2022) was an English actress, scriptwriter, and director. She was known for creating television shows such as ITV British drama Fat Friends (2000–05). She also co-created CITV's British children's drama Children's Ward (1989–2000). Mellor was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.

Mellor died on 15 May 2022, four days after her 71st birthday.[1]
