Karl Fritz Lauer

Karl Fritz Lauer (April 11, 1938 June 5, 2018) was a Romanian-German Agricultural Scientist in Phytopathology and Herbology.[1] He was born in Săcălaz (German Sackelhausen), Kingdom of Romania. After relocation to the German Federal Republic in 1981 he first worked as a scientist at the Botanical Institute of the University of Regensburg before taking over the management of the scientific field research for southern Germany for Rhône-Poulenc from 1983 to 1995.

Lauer died in Leonberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany on June 5, 2018 at the age of 80.[2]
