Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic

The Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic was the shortest lived part of the Soviet Union. It included part of Finland and all of Karelia. The territory was only part of the USSR for 16 years from 1940 to 1956.
