Kankan Region

Kankan is a region in the east of Guinea. It is bordered by the countries of Mali and Côte d'Ivoire and the Guinean regions of Nzérékoré and Faranah. The regional capital is the city of Kankan. As of the 2014 census, 1,986,329 people lived there. It has an area of 72.145 km2 (27.855 sq mi).
