Köniz
Köniz (ˈkøːnɪt͡s) is a city in the administrative district of Bern-Mittelland in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It has population of 38,793 inhabitants (2008), the municipality is one of the 15 most populous cities in Switzerland.

The official language of Köniz is (the Swiss variety of Standard) German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemmanic Swiss German dialect.
