Joseph Shabalala
Joseph Shabalala (28 August 1940[1] – 11 February 2020[2]), born Bhekizizwe Joseph Siphatimandla Mxoveni Mshengu Bigboy Shabalala, was a South African singer and musician. He was the founder and musical director of the choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.[3] Shabalala was born in Ladysmith, South Africa.
On 11 February 2020, Shabalala died at a hospital in Pretoria from back surgery-related problems at the age of 78.[4]
