José María Calleja
José María Fernández Calleja (16 May 1955 – 21 April 2020) was a Spanish journalist, political prisoner and anti-ETA activist. He was born in León, Spain. He worked for CNN+ from 1999 to 2010. He was a professor of journalist at Charles III University of Madrid. From 1973 to 1974, he was a political prisoner under the Francisco Franco dictatorship.
Calleja was diagnosed with COVID-19 in March 2020. He died from the infection at a Madrid hospital on 21 April 2020. He was 64.[1]
