Joe Viskocil

Joseph "Joe" Viskocil (December 21, 1952 August 11, 2014) was an American visual effects artist. He had over 80 credits between 1974 and 2014. His movie credits include Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). For Independence Day (1996), he won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 69th Academy Awards in 1997.
