Jefitchia

Jefitchia is an extinct genus of prehistoric drumfish that lived from the Eocene to the Oligocene. Fossils have been found in Texas, Louisiana, and Portugal.

It contains three species:

  • Jefitchia claybornensis Koken, 1888
  • Jefitchia copelandi Frizzell & Dante, 1965 (type species)
  • Jefitchia spinosa Jonet, 1979
