Janina Altman
Janina Altman (née Hescheles), 2 January 1931 – 24 July 2022) was a Polish-Israeli chemist, writer and a Holocaust survivor. She was born in Lviv. When Nazi Germany invaded Poland, she was sent to the Janowska concentration camp. She escaped from there in 1943. She later became a writer and a chemist, working for Weizmann Institute of Science, and also at the Technical University of Munich.

Altman died on 24 July 2022, aged 91.[1]
