Jan Niemiec (bishop)

Bishop Jan Niemiec (Ukrainian: Ян Нємєц; Polish: Jan Niemiec; 14 March 1958 – 27 October 2020) was a Polish-born Ukrainian Roman Catholic prelate. He was an Auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kamyanets-Podilskyi and the Titular Bishop of Decoriana from 21 October 2006 until his death on 27 October 2020. He was born in Kozłówek, Poland.

Niemiec died from COVID-19 on 27 October 2020 in hospital in Łańcut, Poland at the age of 62.[1]
