Independent Liberal (Australia)

Independent Liberal is a political description used in Australia. It refers to a member of the centre-right Liberal Party who is an independent.

Independent Liberals are most common on the local level. However, there is one independent Liberal in a state parliament: Moira Deeming, a member of the Victorian Legislative Council, who was expelled from the parliamentary Liberal Party but remains a rank-and-file member of the party.
