Implication

Implication may be one of these:

  • Implication (grammar): this is to suggest something is true, without actually saying it. Most uses of the term are of this type.
  • Implication (logic): what follows in syllogism. If all men are mortal, and Aristotle is a man, the implication is that Aristotle is mortal. Implication in logic is only used within formal logical systems.
