Ice cap

An ice cap is a large mass of ice.[1] Ice caps cover less than 50 000 km² of land area.[1] Sheets of ice covering more than 50 000 km² are called ice sheets.[1]

Ice caps are usually in high areas, but they are not limited to them.[1]
