Greater Mexico City

Greater Mexico City refers to the conurbation around Mexico City. The official name is Mexico City Metropolitan Area (Área Metropolitana de la Ciudad de México).[1] It is made up of the Federal District itself and 41 surrounding municipalities of the states of Mexico and Hidalgo.
