Granville Austin

Granville Austin (1927 6 July 2014) was an American historian. He was known for helping draft the Indian Constitution.[1][2] Austin is the author of two seminal political histories of the constitution of India, The Indian Constitution: Cornerstone of a Nation and Working a Democratic Constitution: The Indian Experience.[2]

Austin was born in Norwich, Vermont. He died in Washington, D.C., aged 87.[3]
