Grace Metalious
Grace Metalious (September 8, 1924 – February 25, 1964) was an American author. She was best known for her controversial novel Peyton Place, which was made into a soap opera in the 1960s. She also wrote several other novels.
Metalious was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. She died from cirrhosis of the liver, age 39, in Boston, Massachusetts.
