Giovanni Innocenzo Martinelli
Giovanni Innocenzo Martinelli OFM (5 February 1942 ā 30 December 2019) was a Libyan-Italian Roman Catholic prelate. He was an Vicar Apostolic of Tripoli and the Titular Bishop of Tabuda. Martinelli was born in Tripoli, Libya.[1]
He was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in 1967 and returned to Libya in 1971.[1] In 1985 he was appointed the Vicar Apostolic of Tripoli and the Titular Bishop of Tabuda. He retired on February 5, 2017 and was replaced by George Bugeja.[2]
Martinelli died on 30 December 2019 at the age of 77.[3]
