Genival Lacerda
Genival Lacerda Cavalcante[1] (5 April 1931 – 7 January 2021) was a Brazilian forró singer-songwriter. He was born in Campina Grande, Paraíba.[2][3] His best known songs were Severina Xique-Xique, Radinho de Pilha and O Chevette da Menina.

In December 2017, Lacerda was honored with the Order of Cultural Merit.[4]
Lacerda died on January 7, 2021, in Recife, Pernambuco from COVID-19, aged 89.[5]
