Gene Littler
Gene Alec Littler (July 21, 1930 – February 16, 2019) was an American professional golfer. He was born in San Diego, California. He was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. He was nicknamed "Gene the Machine" for his smooth swing. Littler won the U.S. Open in 1961. In 1977, he ended up second in the PGA Championship.
Littler died on February 16, 2019 in San Diego from complications of peripheral neuropathy at the age of 88.[1]
