Gaston Glock

Gaston Glock (1929-2023) was an Austrian engineer who founded the Glock firearms manufacturing company. In 1963 he founded the company in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. Glock began as a manufacturer of curtain rods and knives for the Austrian military. In the early 1980s, he patented the first pistol to bear his last name, the Glock 17, to continue producing more models of these polymer-framed pistols.
