Frank Tyson

Frank Holmes Tyson (6 June 1930 27 September 2015) was an English cricketer and journalist. In the 1950s, he played 17 Test matches, taking 76 wickets at an outstanding bowling average of 18.56. He was a fast bowler and was given the nickname "Typhoon Tyson" for his speed.

Tyson was born in Farnworth, Lancashire. In 1960, he moved to Australia and became a journalist. He was married to Ursula and had three children.

Tyson died on 27 September 2015 on the Gold Coast in Queensland. He was 85.[1]
