European Champion Clubs' Cup
The European Champion Clubs' Cup, (also known as Coupe des Clubs Champions Européens), or simply the European Cup, was a trophy awarded every year by UEFA to the football club that wins the UEFA Champions League. The competition in its older format of the UEFA Champions League. The UEFA Champions League and the European Cup are the same thing, the only difference is the name (in 1992 the name changed from European Champion Clubs' Cup to UEFA Champions League). The first award was given in 1956.
