Diocese of Rome

The Diocese of Rome (Latin: Dioecesis Urbis seu Romana;[1] Italian: Diocesi di Roma) is a diocese under the jurisdiction of the Pope, who is also the Bishop of Rome. The first bishop of Rome was Saint Peter. The current bishop of Rome since 13 March 2013 is Pope Francis.
