Cherokee Nation v. Georgia

In 1831 the Cherokee took the state of Georgia to the Supreme Court to resist the Indian Removal Act. When they took Georgia to the Supreme Court they actually won a favorable decision in their end, but President Andrew Jackson refused to enforce and ignored it. This ruling is known as Cherokee Nation v. Georgia today.
