Captains Courageous (movie)
Captains Courageous is a 1937 American adventure movie directed by Victor Fleming and was based on the 1897 novel of the same name by Rudyard Kipling. It stars Spencer Tracy, Freddie Bartholomew, Lionel Barrymore, Melvyn Douglas, Mickey Rooney, John Carradine, Oscar O'Shea and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was nominated for 4 Oscars and won an Academy Award in 1938.
