Burt Metcalfe

Burt Metcalfe (March 19, 1935 July 27, 2022) was a Canadian-American producer, director, actor, and writer. He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. He was known for his screenwriting for M*A*S*H, the television series. Metcalfe was nominated 13 times for Primetime Emmy Awards for his work as a writer on the series M*A*S*H from 1975 through 1983.[1] An actor, he starred as Lord Byron in Gidget (1959). He also played in Diamonds Are Forever (1971).

Metcalfe died on July 27, 2022 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 87.[2]
