Bruce Jay Friedman
Bruce Jay Friedman (April 26, 1930 – June 3, 2020) was an American novelist, screenwriter and playwright. He was born in New York City. He wrote the screenplay for The Heartbreak Kid (1972), Stir Crazy (1980), Splash and The Lonely Guy (both 1984). His best known play was Steambath (1970).
Friedman died on June 3, 2020 in New York City from problems caused by peripheral neuropathy, aged 90.[1]
