Bobby Bowden

Robert Cleckler Bowden (November 8, 1929 August 8, 2021) was an American football coach. Bowden was best known for coaching the Florida State Seminoles football team from the 1976 to 2009 seasons. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama.

In October 2020, Bowden was diagnosed with COVID-19.[1]

Bowden was diagnosed terminal pancreatic cancer in July 2021.[2][3] He died from the disease one month later on August 8, 2021 in Tallahassee, Florida at the age of 91.[4]
