Bird Averitt

William Rodney "Bird" Averitt (July 22, 1952 – December 12, 2020) was an American professional basketball player in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. His career lasted from 1973 to 1978. Averitt played for the San Antonio Spurs, Kentucky Colonels, Buffalo Braves and New Jersey Nets.

Averitt died on December 12, 2020 at the age of 68.[1]
