Barbara Smoker

Barbara Smoker (2 June 1923 7 April 2020)[1] was a British Humanist activist. She was also President of the National Secular Society from 1972 to 1996, Chair of the British Voluntary Euthanasia Society (now known as Dignity in Dying) from 1981 to 1985 and an Honorary Vice President of the Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association in the United Kingdom. Smoker was born in London.

Smoker died at a hospital in London on 7 April 2020, aged 96, after a long-illness.[1]
