He is the leader of the Diversity dance group that won the third series of Britain's Got Talent. Banjo was a judge on Sky One's talent show Got to Dance. He was also a co-host of the BBC's Saturday night game show Can't Touch This. Since 2018, he has been a judge on Dancing on Ice.

Ashley replaced Simon Cowell, who was recovering from an electric motorcycle accident, as a judge on ITV's Britain's Got Talent in September and October 2020 during the live shows.
