Area code 516

Area code 516 is an area code for New York. It was created in 1951 as a split to 914. It initially covered the Long Island area of New York, but after it was split by 631 in 1999. It now covers the Nassau county area of New York. It will be overlaid by 363 on January 20, 2023.[1][2]
