Anne McCaffrey
Anne McCaffrey (1 April 1926 – 21 November 2011)[2][3] was an American writer of fantasy fiction. She is best known for her books about dragons, the Dragonriders of Pern. She was the first woman to win a Hugo and Nebula Award.
