Among the Living

Among the Living is the third studio album by Anthrax. Anthrax is an American thrash metal band. The album was released on March 16, 1987. It is made for Cliff Burton of Metallica. Burton died in a bus accident six months before the album was released. The accident happened when Metallica was on tour with Anthrax.

Among the Living made Anthrax much more popular.[2][3] Many people think it is the album that made the band one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands.[4][5] The other three bands are Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. The album was certified gold by the RIAA. Rolling Stone said it was one of the best heavy metal albums ever made.[6]
