Aloyzas Sakalas
Aloyzas Sakalas (6 July 1931 – 18 July 2022) was a Lithuanian physicist and politician. He was known as one of the signers of the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania. He was a Member of the European Parliament with the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania from 2004 to 2009. Before, he was a member of the Seimas from 1990 to 2004. He was born in Anykščiai, Lithuania.

Sakalas died on 18 July 2022, two weeks after his 91st birthday in Vilnius, Lithuania.[1]
