Alexandre Astruc

Alexandre Astruc (13 July 1923 – 19 May 2016) was a French movie critic and movie director. He was known for being part of the French New Wave.[1] He was born in Paris.

Astruc was known for his movies The Crimson Curtain, La Putain respectueuse, Les Mauvaises rencontres, Amour de poche, Une vie, and La proie pour l'ombre.

In 1994, he was given the René Clair Award.

Astruc died in Paris on 19 May 2016, aged 92.[2]
