Alessandro Valignano
Alessandro Valignano or Valignani (Chinese: 范禮安; 15 February 1539 – 20 January, 1606)[1] was an Italian Jesuit priest and missionary who was born in Chieti. He helped bring Catholicism to the Far East, and especially to Japan and China.
