2021 Palmas FR plane crash
The 2021 Tocantinense aviation disaster took place on January 24, 2021, when a plane crashed shortly after departing Palmas–Brigadeiro Lysias Rodrigues Airport in Brazil. Six people were on board, killing four people. Those killed were members of the Palmas Futebol e Regatas association football team members, the club's owner and the plane's pilot.[1] The plane was en route to a regional cup football game between Palmas and Vila Nova, for the Brazilian Copa Verde championship.[2]
