Ōmi Code

The Ōmi Code (近江令, ōmiryō), also known as the Asuka Kiyomihara Code,[1] are Japanese laws which were written in 668-672. The code was created by Fujiwara no Kamatari.

The Ōmi Code was 22 volumes long. It was put into effect in the last year of Emperor Tenji's reign.[2] This code was an early version of the Taihō Code of 701.[1]
