José Pedro da Silva Figueiredo Freitas (born 6 June 1997), known as Zé Pedro, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Porto.

Club career

Zé Pedro is a youth product of Vitória Guimarães, Os Sandinenses and Vizela, and began his senior career with Vizela in 2015 in the Portuguese third division. He was on loan at Torcatense in 2016–17 and joined Fafe the following season. In 2018, he moved to the Braga reserves.[2] Unable to break through, he moved to Estrela in 2020, and in his first season there helped them achieve promotion to the Liga Portugal 2.[3]

On 29 July 2021, Zé Pedro transferred to Porto's reserves in the second division on a contract until 2024, and quickly became their captain.[2] He debuted for the senior Porto team in a 1–0 Taça da Liga win over Rio Ave on 15 December 2021.[4] On 7 August 2023, he extended his contract with Porto until 2026.[5] He was promoted to the Porto senior team in September 2023 after some injuries to the starters, and made appearances in the Primeira Liga.[6]
