Barawal is a tehsil in Upper Dir District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is a beautiful valley with high mountains. It borders in east with lower dir maidan in north and west with Afghanistan Kunar province and Chitral. Barawal is located 1400 meters to 2100 meters from sea level, and peaks rising to 4500 meters.
