Bowalhasan (Persian: بوالحسن, also Romanized as Bowalḩasan and Bū ol Ḩasan; also known as Abū ol Ḩasan, Bolḩasan, and Bolhasan)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Bowalhasan Rural District of Namshir District, Baneh County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,195 in 195 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,100 people in 228 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,298 people in 347 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
