The 2023–24 Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team represents Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hokies are led by fifth-year head coach Mike Young and play their home games at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Previous season

The Hokies finished the 2022–23 season 19–15, 8–12 in ACC play to finish in 11th place. In the ACC tournament, they defeated Notre Dame before losing to NC State in the second round. They received an at-large bit do the National Invitation Tournament where they lost to Cincinnati in the first round.
